April 9, 2013, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) published consultation document Proposed Maximum Residue Limit PMRL2013-14. This document proposes a new MRL for the active ingredient S-metolachlor on peanut. PMRA will accept comments for up to 75 days from the publication of this document.

China's Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) recently published draft changes to their national MRL standard. The MOA's announcement (in Chinese) lists two MRL proposals and draft changes to their food classification table. China's MOA is soliciting domestic comments on these proposed changes through April 30, 2013.

New Zealand's Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) recently published a proposal to amend the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards 2012. The draft proposes to add MRLs for the pesticides methoxyfenozide, spinetoram, and spirotetramat. MPI is accepting comments on proposed changes through June 5, 2013.

Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently proposed changes to their Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods.  MRLs are proposed for active ingredients clothianidin, cyazofamid, cyhalothrin, deltamethrin, fluvalinate, imidacloprid, methomyl, methoxyfenozide, and oxydemeton methyl.  

Taiwan's FDA is seeking comments from international trading partners before May 18, 2013. Specific proposed MRLs can be viewed here.
