From June 9-11, Alyson Segawa, one of BCI's International Marketing Account Managers, participated in Food Hospitality World (FHW) tradeshow in Bengaluru, India on behalf of the U.S. Cranberry Marketing Committee (CMC). CMC implemented their first ingredient and mixology competitions in India at FHW where participants were challenged to present unique recipes utilizing U.S. cranberries and other premium U.S. agricultural products. The special event was organized in association with the South India Culinary Association (SICA), with competitions featuring 55 recognized hotel chefs and mixologists showcasing their exemplary skills.
CMC also exhibited at a joint booth where samples were distributed and Alyson provided information to trade and media on the taste, versatility, availability, and health benefits of U.S. cranberry products. Mr. Adam Branson, Senior Agricultural Attaché for Agricultural Affairs of the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai, inaugurated the show.
FHW is one of India's largest professional tradeshows for trade and consumers in the food & hospitality industry. Last year, the show witnessed about 6,000 visitors and showcased more than 250 exhibitors.
