January 19, 2017

On January 18, the U.S. EPA established tolerances for residues of acequinocyl in or on multiple commodities.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by March 20, 2017. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on January 19, 2016.

June 24, 2016

On June 24, the European Union published MRL amendments affecting the following active ingredients:

  • Reg. (EU) 2016/1002: AMTT, diquat, dodine, glufosinate, tritosulfuron
  • Reg. (EU) 2016/1003: abamectin, acequinocyl, acetamiprid, benzovindiflupyr, bromoxynil, fludioxonil, fluopicolide, fosetyl, mepiquat, proquinazid, propamocarb, prohexadione, tebuconazole

Amended MRLs from Reg. (EU) 2016/1002 go into effect on January 14, 2017. Amended MRLs from Reg. (EU) 2016/1003 go into effect on July 16, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will be entered in the Global MRL Database in the next week.

April 13, 2016

On April 13, the U.S. EPA amended a tolerance for residues of acequinocyl in or on hops, dried cones.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by June 13, 2016. The amended MRL will display in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

October 23, 2015

On October 23, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing MRLs for acequinocyl in cherries and plums.

September 9, 2015

On September 9, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of several initial filings of pesticide petitions requesting the establishment or modification of regulations for residues of pesticide chemicals in or on various commodities.

Comments on petitioned-for tolerances must be received by October 9, 2015, and relevant proposed MRLs will be added to Global MRL Database.

August 8, 2014

Taiwan's Ministry of Health recently notified the WTO of the adoption of amendments to its Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods, fully adopting numerous MRLs on 17 active ingredients previously published as draft amendments. 

May 22, 2014

Taiwan's Ministy of Heath and Welfare has notified the WTO of a draft MRL amendment, containing MRLs for 17 active ingredients. Comments must be submitted by July 21, 2014.

February 28, 2014

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently established MRLs for the following pesticides:

The European Union (EU) recently published Commission Regulation (EU) No 834/2013. This regulation amends the EU's national MRL regulation, pertaining specifically to the following active ingredients: acequinocyl, bixafen, diazinon, difenoconazole, etoxazole, fenhexamid, fludioxonil, isopyrazam, lambda-cyhalothrin, profenofos and prothioconazole.
