On January 17, the European Union published Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/70 amending MRLs for ametoctradin, chlorpyrifos-methyl, cyproconazole, difenoconazole, fluazinam, flutriafol, prohexadione, and sodium chloride in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect February 6, 2018. Relevant pending MRL changes will display in the Global MRL Database on January 18, 2018.

On July 27, the U.S. EPA amended tolerances for residues of fenpyroximate, ametoctradin, and tolpyralate in or on several commodities.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by September 25, 2017. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on July 28, 2017.

On June 13, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing maximum residue levels for ametoctradin in herbs and edible flowers.

Proposed MRLs from this opinion will display in the Global MRL Database on June 14, 2017.

This week, Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for the following active ingredients:

PMRA will accept comments on the proposed MRLs through August 10 (pyraflufen-ethyl, cyantraniliprole, pyraclostrobin), 13 (tebuconazole, ametoctradin), and 14 (imazapyr, pyriproxyfen). Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

(EU) 2016/67 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for ametoctradin, chlorothalonil, diphenylamine, flonicamid, fluazinam, fluoxastrobin, halauxifen-methyl, propamocarb, prothioconazole, thiacloprid, and trifloxystrobin in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect February 11, 2016, except for thiacloprid in Jerusalem artichokes and trifloxystrobin in olives for oil production which apply from February 12, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database.

MRLs go into effect on June 25, 2015, and relevant MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database as pending.
