On May 31, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for the following active ingredients (in Portuguese): thiophanate-methylflumioxazinfosetyl, Bacillus firmustrifloxystrobin, Pasteuria nishizawaeS-metolachlorspinetoramcyproconazoleprohexadione-calciumMelaleuca alternifolia, fluazinam, lufenuron, diflubenzuron, atrazine, chlorothalonil, imazethapyr, azoxystrobin, difenoconazole, tebuconazole, metsulfuron-methyl, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, zeta-cypermethrin, imibenconazole, bifenthrin, and etofenprox.

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by June 26, 2016. Relevant proposed MRLs will show in the Global MRL Database by Thursday.

On June 3, the European Union (EU) published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 588/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation includes MRLs for orange oil, Phlebiopsis gigantea, gibberellic acid, Paecilomyces fumosoroseus strain FE 9901, Spodoptera littoralis nucleopolyhedrovirus, Spodoptera exigua nuclear polyhedrosis virus, Bacillus firmus I-1582, s-abscisic acid, L-ascorbic acid, and Helicoverpa armigera nucleopolyhedrovirus in or on certain products.

Further details may be found on pages 16-17 of the linked Official Journal document. MRLs in this regulation will apply starting June 23, 2014, and relevant regulatory changes will appear in at that time.
