On July 18, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting imidacloprid; oxathiapiprolin; quinclorac; clofentezine; chlorpropham; spiramycin; tylosin; dazomet, metam and methyl isothiocyanate; picarbutrazox; fluopyram; fludioxonil; prohexadione-calcium; and mandestrobin.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database by July 28, 2017.

On January 27, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) notified the WTO of proposed MRL changes for the following active ingredients:

The final date for comments is March 28, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs currently display in the Global MRL Database.

On December 7, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a proposal to amend numerous MRLs for pesticides and veterinary drugs. Comments on these proposals are due by December 21, 2016. Any proposals containing MRL decreases will likely be announced to the WTO in the coming months.

Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database by December 22, 2016.

On March 24, the European Union published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 289/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation revises MRLs for foramsulfuron, azimsulfuron, iodosulfuron, oxasulfuron, mesosulfuron, flazasulfuron, imazosulfuron, propamocarb, bifenazate, chlorpropham and thiobencarb.

MRL revisions were made to address new and changed uses. This amendment will enter into force April 11, 2014, and the MRLs will be in effect as of October 11, 2014.

Relevant changes will appear in www.mrldatabase.com after the regulation is in effect.

On January 30, the European Union published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 79/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation revises MRLs for bifenazate, chlorpropham, esfenvalerate, fludioxonil and thiobencarb.

MRL revisions were made to address new and changed uses. This amendment will enter into force February 13, 2014, and most MRLs will be in effect as of August 14, 2014.

Relevant changes will appear in www.mrldatabase.com after the regulation is in effect.
