Information on pesticides and other contaminants is included in Section III for Indonesia and New Zealand and Section V for the other markets. The Global MRL Database currently displays relevant established and proposed MRLs for these markets.

On February 28, 2014, Colombia's Ministry of Social Welfare notified the WTO of a technical regulation for processed fruit, Resolution No. 003929, which includes information on food additives in various fruit products.  This regulation, available only in Spanish, was published on October 2, 2013 and will enter into force on April 5, 2014.

Colombia's food additive use regulations are not currently included in the International Food Additive Database, but they are being considered for future inclusion.

Colombia's Ministry of Health and Social Protection recently published a draft technical regulation on food additives.  In general, this legislation refers to Codex Alimentarius standards to establish a positive list of permitted food additives and their maximum use levels in food.  The final date for comments is October 21, 2013.

In 2012, Colombia published a draft food additive regulation that included its own tables of approved additives and maximum use levels.  It is unclear whether this earlier draft has been replaced by the recently-published one.

Colombia is not currently included in the International Food Additive Database, but is being considered for future inclusion.

Colombia's Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social (Ministry of Health and Social Welfare) recently published a draft resolution entitled "Por medio de la cual se establece el reglamento técnico sobre los requisitos que deben cumplir los aromatizantes/saborizantes utilizados en alimentos y bebidas alcohólicas para consumo humano, los materiales de base para la elaboración de aromatizantes/saborizantes; y los ingredientes alimentarios con propiedades aromatizantes" ("Establishing the Technical Regulation on the requirements for flavourings used in foods and alcoholic beverages for human consumption, materials used as the basis for such flavourings, and food ingredients with flavouring properties").  The final date for comments is April 24, 2013.
