On April 11, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting albendazole, isouron, etoxazole, simeconazole, cymoxanil, spirotetramat, thifensulfuron-methyl, thifluzamide, tebufenozide, triflumizole, tolfenamic acid, pyriofenone, fluensulfone, fluopicolide, prothioconazole, prohydrojasmon, profenofos, bromacil, prometryn, hexaconazole, hexythiazox, benzovindiflupyr, and lepimectin.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database by April 20, 2017.

The final date for comments is February18, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on December 23, 2016.

On November 4, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) opened a public consultation on the active substance etoxazole. Comments on the rapporteur Member State’s assessment report must be sent to EFSA by January 4, 2017.

On July 27, the U.S. EPA established a tolerance for residues of etoxazole in or on soybean seed.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by September 26, 2016. The amended MRL will display in the Global MRL Database on July 28, 2016.

On April 25, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of pesticide petitions to establish MRLs on numerous active ingredients.

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for aminocyclopyrachlor and etoxazole.

On October 21, the Australia Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 21 – 21 October 2014. Pages 10-12 of the gazette list proposed amendments to MRLs on various commodities. Pages 17-18 of outline established MRLs for several pesticides on various commodities, amending Australia's Standard 1.4.2.

Comments on proposed MRLs must be submitted by November 18, 2014, and relevant established MRLs will be reflected in MRL Database
