On April 11, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting albendazole, isouron, etoxazole, simeconazole, cymoxanil, spirotetramat, thifensulfuron-methyl, thifluzamide, tebufenozide, triflumizole, tolfenamic acid, pyriofenone, fluensulfone, fluopicolide, prothioconazole, prohydrojasmon, profenofos, bromacil, prometryn, hexaconazole, hexythiazox, benzovindiflupyr, and lepimectin.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database by April 20, 2017.

On June 1, the U.S. EPA established tolerances for residues of fluensulfone in or on various commodities.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by August 1, 2016. The amended MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

On March 3, the U.S. EPA established a time-limited tolerance for residues of fluensulfone resulting from its use in or on carrots. The MRL is intended to accommodate the use of fluensulfone to control plant-parasitic nematodes in carrot fields in Michigan.

The time-limited tolerance will appear in the Global MRL Database tomorrow and expires on December 31, 2017. Objections and requests submitted to the U.S. EPA for hearings must be received by May 2, 2016.

On October 21, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of several initial filings of pesticide petitions requesting the establishment or modification of regulations for residues of pesticide chemicals in or on various commodities.

Comments on petitioned-for tolerances must be received by November 11, 2015. Relevant proposed MRLs have been added to Global MRL Database.

On October 6, the Australia Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 20 – 6 October 2015. Page 24 of the gazette lists draft MRLs and pages 29-31 list amendments to MRLs for pesticides on various commodities.

Comments on the draft MRLs must be submitted to APVMA by November 3, 2015. Relevant proposed and amended MRLs will be added to Global MRL Database.
