October 3, 2017

On September 27, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) announced proposed MRL changes for cadusafos, clethodim, chlorantraniliprole, desmedipham, tricyclazole, pyrifluquinazon, fluopicolide, procymidone, abamectin, and flavophospholipol. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service.

Comments are due to the Embassy by October 11, 2017. Relevant Proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database over the next week.

August 7, 2017

On August 4, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for fluopicolide and oxyfluorfen.

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notices. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on August 8, 2017.

May 5, 2017

On May 5, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for fluopicolide and oxyfluorfen in or on several commodities. 

PMRA will accept comments on the proposed MRLs through July 18, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on May 6, 2017.

April 17, 2017
On April 11, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting albendazole, isouron, etoxazole, simeconazole, cymoxanil, spirotetramat, thifensulfuron-methyl, thifluzamide, tebufenozide, triflumizole, tolfenamic acid, pyriofenone, fluensulfone, fluopicolide, prothioconazole, prohydrojasmon, profenofos, bromacil, prometryn, hexaconazole, hexythiazox, benzovindiflupyr, and lepimectin.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database by April 20, 2017.
September 26, 2016

On September 26, the U.S. EPA established tolerances for residues of fluopicolide in or on multiple commodities.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by November 25, 2016. The amended MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on September 27, 2016.

June 24, 2016

On June 24, the European Union published MRL amendments affecting the following active ingredients:

  • Reg. (EU) 2016/1002: AMTT, diquat, dodine, glufosinate, tritosulfuron
  • Reg. (EU) 2016/1003: abamectin, acequinocyl, acetamiprid, benzovindiflupyr, bromoxynil, fludioxonil, fluopicolide, fosetyl, mepiquat, proquinazid, propamocarb, prohexadione, tebuconazole

Amended MRLs from Reg. (EU) 2016/1002 go into effect on January 14, 2017. Amended MRLs from Reg. (EU) 2016/1003 go into effect on July 16, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will be entered in the Global MRL Database in the next week.

June 22, 2016

On June 22, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of pesticide petitions to establish MRLs on numerous active ingredients.

Comments must be received by July 22, 2016. MRLs from this proposal will display in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

April 8, 2016

On April 6, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/486 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for cyazofamid, cycloxydim, difluoroacetic acid, fenoxycarb, flumetralin, fluopicolide, flupyradifurone, fluxapyroxad, kresoxim-methyl, mandestrobin, mepanipyrim, metalaxyl-M, pendimethalin, and tefluthrin in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect April 26, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

On November 6, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published reasoned opinions on the modification of existing MRLs for propamocarb in various commodities and fluopicolide in blackberries, spinaches, and purslanes.

On September 2, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing MRL for fluopicolide in valerian.
