August 8, 2016

On August 8, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments for carbosulfan, copper compounds, difenoconazole, spiromesifen, flutriafol, fluxapyroxad, glufosinate-ammonium, imidacloprid, indoxacarb, thiodicarb, gibberellic acid, abamectin, azoxystrobin, 4-indol-3-ylbutyric acid, acibenzolar-S-methyl, and carbendazim.

MRL changes from these amendments will be entered in the Global MRL Database by Wednesday, August 10.

June 30, 2016

On June 29, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for the following active ingredients (in Portuguese): gibberellic acid, 4-indol-3-ylbutyric acid, abamectin, azoxystrobin, acibenzolar-S-methyl, carbendazim, carbosulfan, copper oxychloride, difenoconazole, spiromesifen, fluazifop-P-butyl, flutriafol, glufosinate-ammonium, imidacloprid, indoxacarb, and thiodicarb.

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by July 28, 2016. Relevant proposed MRLs will show in the Global MRL Database next week.

June 4, 2015

On June 4, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2015/845 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for azoxystrobin, chlorantraniliprole, cyantraniliprole, dicamba, difenoconazole, fenpyroximate, fludioxonil, glufosinate-ammonium, imazapic, imazapyr, indoxacarb, isoxaflutole, mandipropamid, penthiopyrad, propiconazole, pyrimethanil, spirotetramat, and trinexapac in or on certain products.

MRLs go into effect on June 24, 2015, and relevant MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database as pending.

October 8, 2014

On October 8, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for glufosinate-ammonium and halauxifen-methyl.

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notices, and relevant changes have been made to the MRL Database

July 31, 2014

Taiwan's Ministry of Health and Welfare recently notified the WTO of a Draft of Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods, containing MRLs for 29 active ingredients.

Comments must be submitted by September 27, 2014. 

June 26, 2014

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently proposed MRLs for the following active ingredients:

PMRA will be accepting comments on these consultations through September 8, 2014 for spinosad and glufosinate-ammonium; however, comments for chlorpyrifos, metalaxyl, and fomesafen may be submitted until September 9, 2014. 

May 16, 2014

On May 16, the European Union (EU) published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 491/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation includes MRLs for the active ingredients ametoctradin, azoxystrobin, cycloxydim, cyfluthrin, dinotefuran, fenbuconazole, fenvalerate, fludioxonil, fluopyram, flutriafol, fluxapyroxad, glufosinate-ammonium, imidacloprid, indoxacarb, MCPA, methoxyfenozide, penthiopyrad, spinetoram, and trifloxystrobin.

MRLs in this regulation will apply from June 5, 2014; however, MRLs regarding fenvalerate and fludioxonil in mangoes will apply from August 19, 2014. Relevant changes will appear in, accordingly.

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently established MRLs for the following pesticides:

Individual changes can be viewed in the WTO notices linked above, and a complete list of MRLs can be found in PMRA's MRL Database.

Relevant changes will appear in tomorrow.

In addition to proposing MRL changes, the APVMA's Gazette No. 16 includes an amendment to Australia's international MRL standard.

The amendment revises MRLs for the following active ingredients: abamectin, bifenthrin, boscalid, chlorantraniliprole, chlorothalonil, dimethoate, fluazifop-butyl, fluazifop-p-butyl, glufosinate and glufosinate-ammonium, isoxaflutole, mandipropamid, penflufen, spinosad, terbuthylazine, and trifloxystrobin.

Relevant changes will be made to early next week.
