On March 20, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments for chlorfluazuron, spinetoram, cyproconazole, clethodim, azadirachtin, amicarbazone, azoxystrobin (proposed via Consulta Pública n° 296 and n° 306), halosulfuron-methyl, indaziflam, linuron, mepiquat chloride, propaquizafop, triclopyr, thiodicarb, tebuconazole (proposed via Consulta Pública n° 304 and n° 308), and iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium.

MRL changes from these amendments will be displayed in the Global MRL Database on March 21.

This week, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published proposed monograph changes (including some MRL revisions) for chlorfluazuron, spinetoram, cyproconazole, clethodim, azadirachtin, amicarbazone, azoxystrobin (Consulta Pública n° 296 and  306), halosulfuron-methyl, indaziflam, linuron, mepiquat chloride, propaquizafop, triclopyr, thiodicarb, tebuconazole (Consulta Pública n° 304 and  308), iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium (links in Portuguese).

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by March 11, 2017 for iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium, azoxystrobin (n° 306), and tebuconazole (n° 308) and by March 10, 2017 for all other active ingredients. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on February 11, 2017.

On September 17, the U.S. EPA established MRLs for residues of halosulfuron-methyl in or on the pome fruit group 11-10 and a tolerance with regional registration for residues of halosulfuron-methyl in or on the small vine climbing fruit, except fuzzy kiwifruit, subgroup 13-07F.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by November 16, 2015. The amended MRLs will be added to Global MRL Database.

On March 21, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) published Proposed Maximum Residue Limit PMRL2014-09, Halosulfuron-methyl. PMRA will accept comments on this consultation through June 4, 2014.

On August 28, the US EPA established MRLs for halosulfuron-methyl on artichoke and caneberry subgroup 13-07A, and established multiple MRLs for pyraclostrobin. Objections and requests for hearings for each of these changes must be received on or before October 28, 2013.
