Recently, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for acephate, indoxacarb, ethoxysulfuron, spiromesifen, Isaria fumosorosea, dicloran, Reynoutria sachalinensis, fluazinam, and thiophanate-methyl (links in Portuguese).

Comments on the proposals for acephate, indoxacarb, ethoxysulfuron, and spiromesifen must be submitted by July 11, 2017. The comment deadline for the remaining active ingredients is July 13, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on June 23, 2017.

On June 8, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of two pesticide petitions (82 FR 26641 and 82 FR 26639) to establish MRLs and tolerance exemptions for several active ingredients in or on various commodities.

Comments must be received by July 10, 2017. MRLs from these proposals will display in the Global MRL Database on June 9, 2017.

On January 16, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) opened a public consultation on the active substance indoxacarb. Comments on the rapporteur Member State's assessment reports must be sent to EFSA by March 18, 2017.

On August 8, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments for carbosulfan, copper compounds, difenoconazole, spiromesifen, flutriafol, fluxapyroxad, glufosinate-ammonium, imidacloprid, indoxacarb, thiodicarb, gibberellic acid, abamectin, azoxystrobin, 4-indol-3-ylbutyric acid, acibenzolar-S-methyl, and carbendazim.

MRL changes from these amendments will be entered in the Global MRL Database by Wednesday, August 10.

On June 4, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2015/845 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for azoxystrobin, chlorantraniliprole, cyantraniliprole, dicamba, difenoconazole, fenpyroximate, fludioxonil, glufosinate-ammonium, imazapic, imazapyr, indoxacarb, isoxaflutole, mandipropamid, penthiopyrad, propiconazole, pyrimethanil, spirotetramat, and trinexapac in or on certain products.

MRLs go into effect on June 24, 2015, and relevant MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database as pending.

On May 19, the Australia Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 10 – 19 May 2015. Pages 30-32 of the gazette list proposed amendments to MRLs for pesticides on various commodities.
