This week, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for quizalofop-ethyl, isofetamid, and napropamide-M.

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notices. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on August 16, 2017.

On July 19, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting isofetamid, melengestrol acetate, famoxadone, fenazaquin, and metamifop.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by August 14, 2017. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on June 15, 2017.

On May 12, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for quizalofop-ethyl, simazine, and isofetamid in or on various commodities. 

PMRA will accept comments on the proposed MRLs through July 25, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on May 13, 2017.

On February 10, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) announced proposed MRL changes for isofetamid, sulfoxaflor, famoxadone, fenazaquin, and melengestrol acetate. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service. Changes for sulfoxaflor were originally proposed in October 2015. 

Comments are due to the Embassy by February 24, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database by February 18, 2017.

On February 7, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of pesticide petitions to establish MRLs on several active ingredients.

Comments must be received by March 9, 2017. MRLs from this proposal will display in the Global MRL Database on February 9, 2017.

On October 14, the U.S. EPA established time-limited tolerances for residues of the fungicide isofetamid in or on caneberry subgroup 13-07A and bushberry subgroup 13-07B. The tolerances will expire on December 31, 2019.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by December 13, 2016. The Section 18 tolerances will display in the Global MRL Database on October 18, 2016.

Denmark’s Høringsportalen posted draft MRL amendments under consideration by the European Union's Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed. These include:

  • SANTE/11309/2016: aminopyralid, azoxystrobin, cyantraniliprole, cyflufenamid, cyproconazole, diethofencarb, dithiocarbamates, fluazifop-P, fluopyram, haloxyfop, isofetamid, metalaxyl, prohexadione, propaquizafop, pyrimethanil, Trichoderma atroviride strain SC1, and zoxamide
  • SANTE/11418/2015: bifenthrin, carbetamide, cinidon-ethyl, fenpropimorph, and triflusulfuron

Relevant proposed MRLs will begin to appear in the Global MRL Database starting September 21, 2016.
