On August 14, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama notified the WTO of a proposed update to Central American Customs Union regulation RTCA 67.04.54:10. Comments are due by October 13, 2018.

The United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Service recently published Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards (FAIRS) Country Reports for the following countries:

Information on pesticides and other contaminants is included in in Section V for each country. The Global MRL Database currently displays relevant established and proposed MRLs for these markets.

Recently, the Panamanian Food Safety Authority published a new regulation concerning import requirements for food additives used in the domestic manufacture of foodstuffs. The law will enter into force on April 27, 2016 and is available in Spanish.
