On July 19, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for ethaboxam, penthiopyrad, and flumioxazin.

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notice. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on July 20, 2017.

On June 21, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2017/1016 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for benzovindiflupyr, chlorantraniliprole, deltamethrin, ethofumesate, haloxyfop, Mild Pepino Mosaic Virus isolate VC1, Mild Pepino Mosaic Virus isolate VX1, oxathiapiprolin, penthiopyrad, pyraclostrobin, spirotetramat, sunflower oil, tolclofos-methyl and trinexapac in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect July 11, 2017. Relevant pending MRL changes will display in the Global MRL Database on June 22, 2017.

On December 16, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of existing MRLs for penthiopyrad in stone fruits and cereals.

Proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on December 20, 2016.

On June 4, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2015/845 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for azoxystrobin, chlorantraniliprole, cyantraniliprole, dicamba, difenoconazole, fenpyroximate, fludioxonil, glufosinate-ammonium, imazapic, imazapyr, indoxacarb, isoxaflutole, mandipropamid, penthiopyrad, propiconazole, pyrimethanil, spirotetramat, and trinexapac in or on certain products.

MRLs go into effect on June 24, 2015, and relevant MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database as pending.

New and increased MRLs took effect immediately, while lowered and deleted MRLs will take effect on February 7, 2015.

On May 16, the European Union (EU) published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 491/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation includes MRLs for the active ingredients ametoctradin, azoxystrobin, cycloxydim, cyfluthrin, dinotefuran, fenbuconazole, fenvalerate, fludioxonil, fluopyram, flutriafol, fluxapyroxad, glufosinate-ammonium, imidacloprid, indoxacarb, MCPA, methoxyfenozide, penthiopyrad, spinetoram, and trifloxystrobin.

MRLs in this regulation will apply from June 5, 2014; however, MRLs regarding fenvalerate and fludioxonil in mangoes will apply from August 19, 2014. Relevant changes will appear in www.mrldatabase.com, accordingly.

The European Union recently published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 1004/2013 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation revises MRLs for several active ingredients, including 8 hydroxyquinoline, cyproconazole, cyprodinil, fluopyram, nicotine, pendimethalin, penthiopyrad and trifloxystrobin.

MRL revisions were made to address new and changed uses. This amendment entered into force October 20.

Relevant changes will appear in www.mrldatabase.com tomorrow.

Effective May 15, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) amended Japan's MRL regulation (link in Japanese). This update affects MRLs for the following active ingredients: alachlor, kresoxim-methyl, chromafenozide, saflufenacil, cyflumetofen, spiromesifen, trifluralin, fenbuconazole, flunixin, penthiopyrad, milbemectin, and metaflumizone.

Japan maintains an online MRL database, searchable by active ingredient. MRL updates typically take about a week to show up in the English-translated database; at this time, relevant changes will be made to www.mrldatabase.com.
