On August 27, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published reasoned opinions on the modification of the existing MRLs for prohexadione and the review of the existing MRLs for prochloraz in various commodities.

Proposed MRLs from the reasoned opinions will display in the Global MRL Database on August 28, 2018.

On January 17, the European Union published Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/70 amending MRLs for ametoctradin, chlorpyrifos-methyl, cyproconazole, difenoconazole, fluazinam, flutriafol, prohexadione, and sodium chloride in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect February 6, 2018. Relevant pending MRL changes will display in the Global MRL Database on January 18, 2018.

Denmark’s Høringsportalen posted draft MRL amendments under consideration by the European Union's Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed. These include:

  • SANTE/11309/2016: aminopyralid, azoxystrobin, cyantraniliprole, cyflufenamid, cyproconazole, diethofencarb, dithiocarbamates, fluazifop-P, fluopyram, haloxyfop, isofetamid, metalaxyl, prohexadione, propaquizafop, pyrimethanil, Trichoderma atroviride strain SC1, and zoxamide
  • SANTE/11418/2015: bifenthrin, carbetamide, cinidon-ethyl, fenpropimorph, and triflusulfuron

Relevant proposed MRLs will begin to appear in the Global MRL Database starting September 21, 2016.

On June 24, the European Union published MRL amendments affecting the following active ingredients:

  • Reg. (EU) 2016/1002: AMTT, diquat, dodine, glufosinate, tritosulfuron
  • Reg. (EU) 2016/1003: abamectin, acequinocyl, acetamiprid, benzovindiflupyr, bromoxynil, fludioxonil, fluopicolide, fosetyl, mepiquat, proquinazid, propamocarb, prohexadione, tebuconazole

Amended MRLs from Reg. (EU) 2016/1002 go into effect on January 14, 2017. Amended MRLs from Reg. (EU) 2016/1003 go into effect on July 16, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will be entered in the Global MRL Database in the next week.

The European Union recently published Reg. (EU) 2015/552 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for 1,3-dichloropropene, bifenox, dimethenamid-P, prohexadione, tolylfluanid, and trifluralin in or on certain products.

MRLs go into effect October 28, 2015, and relevant MRL changes will be added to www.globalmrl.com as pending.

On July 18, the European Union notified the WTO of draft MRLs for 1,3-dichloropropene, bifenox, dimethenamid-P, prohexadione, tolylfluanid and trifluralin.

The final date for comments on these proposed MRLs is September 16, 2014.

The European Union has adopted Commission Regulation (EU) No 241/2013. This regulation puts into effect MRLs to address new and changed pesticide uses for various commodities. MRLs are amended for the active ingredients prohexadione, chlorantraniliprole, and fludioxonil. These changes go into effect on March 20, 2013.
