On October 26, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) announced proposed MRL changes for aminocyclopyrachlor, etofenprox, captan, fenbuconazole, propiconazole, josamycin, spectinomycin, and prednisolone. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service.

Comments are due to the Embassy by November 9, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database over the next week.

On January 5, the U.S. EPA extended the time-limited tolerance for residues of propiconazole in or on avocado for an additional 3 years. The tolerance will expire on December 31, 2019.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by March 6, 2017. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on January 6, 2017.

On April 15, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/567 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for chlorantraniliprole, cyflumetofen, cyprodinil, dimethomorph, dithiocarbamates, fenamidone, fluopyram, flutolanil, imazamox, metrafenone, myclobutanil, propiconazole, sedaxane, and spirodiclofen in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect May 5, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes are on display in the Global MRL Database.

On March 30, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/452 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for captan, propiconazole, and spiroxamine in or on certain products.

On October 21, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of several initial filings of pesticide petitions requesting the establishment or modification of regulations for residues of pesticide chemicals in or on various commodities.

Comments on petitioned-for tolerances must be received by November 11, 2015. Relevant proposed MRLs have been added to Global MRL Database.
