The Global MRL Database currently displays relevant established and proposed MRLs for Russia, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bulgaria, and Poland.

The Russian Federation recently published a new MRL regulation, Hygiene Norms 1.2.3111-13 “Hygiene Norms for Presence of Pesticides in external entities (list)” (link in Russian). An unofficial English translation of this document published by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service can be found here.

As this is a new regulation, changes will be posted to www.mrldatabase.com in the next few weeks. We will post an announcement when these changes can be viewed.

The Eurasian Commission (the governing body of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia) recently published a draft amendment to the Customs Union Technical Regulation on Food Safety. This draft, published in Russian, includes MRLs for contaminants and heavy metals.

On December 24, 2013, the Eurasian Economic Commission published a draft amendment to the Eurasian Customs Union's Technical Regulation TP TC 021/2011 on Food Safety.  The draft includes various specification standards for foods, including information on food additives.  This document is available only in Russian.

The Eurasian Customs Union's food additive use regulations are included in the International Food Additive Database.

On November 22, 2013, USDA published a GAIN Report with an unofficial translation of the Eurasian Customs Union's Technical Regulation on Meat and Meat Products.  This regulation was adopted by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 68 on October 9, 2013 and will enter into force on May 1, 2014.  The technical regulation contains information on food additives applying to various meat and meat products.

The Eurasian Customs Union's food additive regulations are included in the International Food Additive Database.

On November 18, 2013, USDA published a GAIN Report with an unofficial translation of the Eurasian Customs Union's Technical Regulation on Milk and Dairy Products.  This regulation was adopted by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 67 on October 9, 2013 and will enter into force on May 1, 2014.

Annex No. 15 contains information on food additives applying to various milk-based food products for babies and infants.

The Eurasian Customs Union's food additive regulations are included in the International Food Additive Database.

Russia recently notified the WTO of the adoption of the Technical Regulation of the Customs Union on safety of milk and milk products (in Russian). The Technical Regulation will enter into force on May 1, 2014.
