On October 10, Sri Lanka notified the WTO of a comment deadline extension for a draft amendment to its Food (Milk and Milk Products) Regulation 2007. The new deadline is November 20, 2016.

On August 29, Sri Lanka notified the WTO of a draft amendment to its Food (Milk and Milk Products) Regulation 2007, which includes food additive regulations for certain dairy products. Comments are due by October 19, 2016.

On April 29, Sri Lanka notified the WTO of the following amendments to its food additive regulations:

Comments on these notifications are due by June 28, 2016. The amendments will come into effect on December 18, 2016.

On March 24, 2014, Sri Lanka notified the WTO of its Amendment to the Food (Antioxidants) Regulations 2009, which was published in Sri Lanka's Gazette Extraordinary No. 1617/16 on September 1, 2009.  

Sri Lanka is not currently included in the International Food Additive Database but is being considered for future inclusion.

On February 13, 2014, Sri Lanka's Food Control Administration Unit notified the WTO of a regulation on flavouring substances and flavor enhancers.  According to the WTO notification, this regulation was adopted on February 1, 2013 and the proposed date of effect is July 1, 2014.

Sri Lanka is not currently included in the International Food Additive Database but is being considered for future inclusion.
