On January 21, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a technical report on the outcome of the consultation with Member States, the applicant, and EFSA on the pesticide risk assessment for terbuthylazine in light of confirmatory data.

On June 16, the Australia Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 12 – 16 June 2015. Pages 29-30 of the gazette list proposed amendments to MRLs for pesticides on various commodities.

Comments must be submitted to APVMA by July 14, 2015. Relevant proposed MRLs will be added to Global MRL Database.

In addition to proposing MRL changes, the APVMA's Gazette No. 16 includes an amendment to Australia's international MRL standard.

The amendment revises MRLs for the following active ingredients: abamectin, bifenthrin, boscalid, chlorantraniliprole, chlorothalonil, dimethoate, fluazifop-butyl, fluazifop-p-butyl, glufosinate and glufosinate-ammonium, isoxaflutole, mandipropamid, penflufen, spinosad, terbuthylazine, and trifloxystrobin.

Relevant changes will be made to www.mrldatabase.com early next week.

On August 13, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 16. Inside the Gazette is a proposal to amend Australia's international MRL standard. MRLs are proposed for active ingredients terbuthylazine and trifloxystrobin.

On July 2, 2013, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published changes to Standard 1.4.2, Australia's maximum residue limit regulation.

Changes were made for the following active ingredients: bifenazate, cyflufenamid, dimethoate, fluazifop-butyl, fluazinam, fludioxonil, flutriafol, metalaxyl, metsulfuron-methyl, pyraclostrobin, spirotetramat, terbuthylazine, and triclopyr.

Included in the Gazette is a proposal to amend Australia's MRL standard affecting the following active ingredients: abamectin, bifenthrin, boscalid, chlorantraniliprole, chlorothalonil, dimethoate, fluazifop-butyl, fluazifop-p-butyl, glufosinate, isoxaflutole, mandipropamid, penflufen, spinosad, terbuthylazine and trifloxystrobin.
