On July 18, Uganda notified the WTO of the adoption of a proposed food specification standard for tuna canned in oil. This standard contains information on food additive permissions. It was originally proposed in September 2016. This standard enters force June 20, 2017.

On August 29, Uganda notified the WTO of its draft standard, titled DUS 1577:2014, Biopesticide – Specification (in English), which covers requirements and methods of sampling and testing for biopesticides.

On August 29, Uganda notified the WTO of proposed specification standards for frozen fish fillets; frozen fish sticks (fish fingers), fish portions and fish fillets; dried and salted dried fish; fresh and frozen whole fin fish; and dried fish Rastrineobola Argentea.  These may include food additive use information.

Uganda's food additive use regulations, which defer to Codex Alimentarius standards, are included in the International Food Additive Database.

On November 4, Uganda's National Bureau of Standards notified the WTO of several new proposals for food specification standards.  The following drafts include specific food additive information:

On August 26, 2013, Uganda notified the WTO of a draft specification standard for chocolate and chocolate products, which contains specific food additive information.  The final date for comments is October 25, 2013, and the WTO notification lists a proposed date of adoption of December 2013. 

Uganda's food additive use regulations, which defer to Codex Alimentarius standards, are included in the International Food Additive Database.

On June 17, 2013, the Uganda National Bureau of Standards notified the WTO of draft food specification standards for Tomato puree and Amaranth flour, which contain specific food additive information.  Uganda also proposed several other draft standards without specific food additive regulations.  The proposed date of adoption on these standards is August 4, 2013.
