BCI attended the first Global Minor Use Priority Setting Workshop, held in Chicago, Illinois on September 20-22, 2015.

This workshop was one of the outcomes from the 2012 Global Minor Use Summit 2. There were over 170 participants from over 30 countries at the workshop. The primary purpose was to identify pest priorities for minor uses on specialty crops. Three projects were selected for research – one each in a temperate, tropical, and greenhouse environment.

In addition, a number of presentations were given related to minor use capacity development, grower perspectives, and approaches to addressing minor uses internationally. These presentations are available on the IR-4 website, including a link to the informational posters exhibited at the event.
