Recently, Argentina updated the Argentinian Food Code through Resoluciónes Conjuntas 9/2018, 18/2018, and 14/2018. These updates include food additive information. They are effective from November 22, 2018 for 9/2108 and 18/2018 and November 23, 2018 for 14/2018. 

 
Argentina’s food additive regulations are included, in English, in the Food Additive Database. The database will be updated by December 14 to include these updates. If you are interested in subscribing, please contact BCI for more information.

On November 21, Argentina’s Directorate of Domestic Trade Policies and Competition published an amendment to the standard for infant foods. The standard includes food additive information. It is effective as of November 22, 2018. There is a grace period for compliance until November 22, 2019.

Argentina's National Agri-Food Quality and Health Service (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria) recnetly published an updated list of MRLs effective April 2018. This updated list adds MRLs for several active ingredients.

MRLs from the updated list will be available in the Global MRL Database on May 3, 2018.

In February, Argentina’s National Administration of Drugs, Foods, and Medical Devices (ANMAT) published updates to chapters six, nine, fifteen, sixteen, eighteen, and twenty-two of the Argentine Food Code. All documents are available in Spanish.

On June 5, Argentina's National Agri-Food Quality and Health Service (Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria) published an updated list of MRLs effective June 2017. This updated list adds MRLs for several active ingredients in addition to establishing post-harvest treatments for several commodities.

MRLs from the proposal will be available in the Global MRL Database on June 7, 2017.
