On October 9, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments for melaleuca alternifolia, mineral oil, prothioconazole, prohexadione-calcium, thiophanate-methyl, thiamethoxam, trifloxystrobin, clethodim, dicamba, glufosinate, imazapyr, imazapic, aminopyralid, abscisic acid, and bixafen (links in Portuguese).

MRL changes from these amendments will be displayed in the Global MRL Databse on October 11, 2017.

On August 24, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for prothioconazole, trifloxystrobin, bixafen, dicamba, thiamethoxam, melaleuca alternifolia, glufosinate, mineral oil, clethodim, imazapyr, imazapic, aminopyralid, abscisic acid, prohexadione-calcium, and thiophanate-methyl (links in Portuguese).

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by September 22, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on August 25, 2017.

On November 30, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of pesticide petitions to establish MRLs on several active ingredients.

Comments must be received by December 30, 2016. MRLs from this proposal will display in the Global MRL Database on December 1, 2016.

On May 19, the Australia Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 10 – 19 May 2015. Pages 30-32 of the gazette list proposed amendments to MRLs for pesticides on various commodities.

Comments must be submitted to APVMA by June 16, 2015, and relevant proposed MRLs will be added to Global MRL Database.

The European Union (EU) recently published Commission Regulation (EU) No 834/2013. This regulation amends the EU's national MRL regulation, pertaining specifically to the following active ingredients: acequinocyl, bixafen, diazinon, difenoconazole, etoxazole, fenhexamid, fludioxonil, isopyrazam, lambda-cyhalothrin, profenofos and prothioconazole.

Relevant changes have been made to www.mrldatabase.com.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) recently published an update (in Japanese) to Japan's MRL regulation. This update removes and revises MRLs for TCMTB, acequinocyl, azoxystrobin, abamectin, esprocarb, saflufenacil, cyenopyrafen, simeconazole, silafluofen, sedecamycin, thiamethoxam, tebufloquin, bixafen, pyraflufen-ethyl, pyridaben, flutriafol, and repimectin. Increased MRLs are in effect as of March 12, 2013 and decreased or deleted MRLs as of September 11, 2013.

Relevant changes will appear in www.mrldatabase.com when they come into effect.
