December 21, 2018

On December 21, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published reasoned opinions on the modification of the existing MRLs for captan in cranberries and hops.

Proposed MRLs from these reasoned opinions will display in the Global MRL Database on December 22, 2018.

October 30, 2017

On October 26, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) announced proposed MRL changes for aminocyclopyrachlor, etofenprox, captan, fenbuconazole, propiconazole, josamycin, spectinomycin, and prednisolone. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service.

Comments are due to the Embassy by November 9, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database over the next week.

March 30, 2016

On March 30, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/452 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for captan, propiconazole, and spiroxamine in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect October 19, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

July 9, 2015

The European Union recently notified the WTO of draft MRLs for boscalid, captan, clothianidin, thiamethoxam, folpet, and tolclofos-methyl in or on certain products.

The final date for comments is September 7, 2015. Relevant proposed MRLs will be added to Global MRL Database.

October 29, 2014

On October 28, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of an adopted captan MRL on ginseng roots.

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notice, and relevant changes have been made to the MRL Database.

July 23, 2014

On July 23, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed an MRL for captan.

PMRA will accept comments on this proposal through October 6, 2014.
