On October 9, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments for melaleuca alternifolia, mineral oil, prothioconazole, prohexadione-calcium, thiophanate-methyl, thiamethoxam, trifloxystrobin, clethodim, dicamba, glufosinate, imazapyr, imazapic, aminopyralid, abscisic acid, and bixafen (links in Portuguese).

MRL changes from these amendments will be displayed in the Global MRL Databse on October 11, 2017.

On September 27, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) announced proposed MRL changes for cadusafos, clethodim, chlorantraniliprole, desmedipham, tricyclazole, pyrifluquinazon, fluopicolide, procymidone, abamectin, and flavophospholipol. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service.

Comments are due to the Embassy by October 11, 2017. Relevant Proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database over the next week.

On August 31, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for azamethiphos, pyroxasulfone, clethodim, nicosulfuron, and dodine.

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notices. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on September 1, 2017.

On August 24, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for prothioconazole, trifloxystrobin, bixafen, dicamba, thiamethoxam, melaleuca alternifolia, glufosinate, mineral oil, clethodim, imazapyr, imazapic, aminopyralid, abscisic acid, prohexadione-calcium, and thiophanate-methyl (links in Portuguese).

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by September 22, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on August 25, 2017.

On May 16, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for clethodim and pyroxasulfone in or on several commodities.

PMRA will accept comments on the proposed MRLs through July 30, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on May 17, 2017.

On April 13, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a proposal to amend numerous MRLs for pesticides and veterinary drugs. Comments on these proposals are due by April 27, 2017. Any proposals containing MRL decreases will likely be announced to the WTO in the coming months.

Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database by April 18, 2017.

On March 20, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments for chlorfluazuron, spinetoram, cyproconazole, clethodim, azadirachtin, amicarbazone, azoxystrobin (proposed via Consulta Pública n° 296 and n° 306), halosulfuron-methyl, indaziflam, linuron, mepiquat chloride, propaquizafop, triclopyr, thiodicarb, tebuconazole (proposed via Consulta Pública n° 304 and n° 308), and iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium.

MRL changes from these amendments will be displayed in the Global MRL Database on March 21.

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by March 11, 2017 for iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium, azoxystrobin (n° 306), and tebuconazole (n° 308) and by March 10, 2017 for all other active ingredients. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on February 11, 2017.
