On November 29, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) announced proposed MRL changes for dichlorprop, cyflumetofen, flubendiamide, lepimectin, deltamethrin (tralomethrin), dexamethasone, hydramethylnon, fentin, flucarbazone sodium, propazine, and oleandomycin. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service.

Comments are due to the embassy by December 12, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs currently display in the Global MRL Database.

On February 23, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting altrenogest, isopyrazam, imicyafos, etofenprox, ethofumesate, erythromycin, chinomethionat, closantel, saflufenacil, 1,3-dichloropropene, cyflumetofen, thiometon, bicyclopyrone, piperazine, fluazifop, flumethrin, vedaprofen, metoclopramide, mepanipyrim, and lomefloxacin.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database by March 2, 2017.

On October 10, Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments for S-metolachlor, novaluron, mandipropamid, methoxyfenozide, and cyflumetofen.

MRL changes from these amendments will display in the Global MRL Database on October 13, 2016.

On September 1, Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for cyflumetofen, novaluron, and S-metolachlor (link in Portuguese).

On August 9, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a proposal to amend numerous MRLs for pesticides and veterinary drugs. Comments on these proposals are due by August 23, 2016. Any proposals containing MRL decreases will likely be announced to the WTO in the coming months.

Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on August 11, 2016.

On April 15, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/567 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for chlorantraniliprole, cyflumetofen, cyprodinil, dimethomorph, dithiocarbamates, fenamidone, fluopyram, flutolanil, imazamox, metrafenone, myclobutanil, propiconazole, sedaxane, and spirodiclofen in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect May 5, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes are on display in the Global MRL Database.
