June 19, 2017

On June 19, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for flupyradifurone (PMRL2017-05 and PMRL2017-06) and fluoxastrobin.

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notice. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on June 20, 2017.

November 30, 2016

On November 30, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of pesticide petitions to establish MRLs on several active ingredients.

Comments must be received by December 30, 2016. MRLs from this proposal will display in the Global MRL Database on December 1, 2016.

April 18, 2016

On April 4, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting acibenzolar-S-methyl, oxathiapiprolin, cycloprothrin, difenoconazole, triafamone, norfloxacin, fluoxastrobin, brotizolam, propachlor, and metrafenone.

Relevant MRL changes have been made to the Global MRL Database.

January 23, 2016

On January 22, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/67 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for ametoctradin, chlorothalonil, diphenylamine, flonicamid, fluazinam, fluoxastrobin, halauxifen-methyl, propamocarb, prothioconazole, thiacloprid, and trifloxystrobin in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect February 11, 2016, except for thiacloprid in Jerusalem artichokes and trifloxystrobin in olives for oil production which apply from February 12, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database.

December 15, 2015

On December 14, the European Union notified the WTO of proposed MRLs for the following active ingredients:

The final date for comments is February 12, 2016. Relevant proposed MRLs will be added to Global MRL Database.

June 17, 2015

On June 17, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published the following reports reviewing MRLs for multiple pesticides:

  • Reasoned opinion on the refined risk assessment regarding certain MRLs of concern for the active substance chlorpyrifos
  • Conclusion on the peer review of the pesticide risk assessment for the active substance epoxiconazole in light of confirmatory data submitted
  • Reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing MRL for fluoxastrobin in shallots
October 1, 2014

On October 1, the U.S. EPA established tolerances for residues of fluoxastrobin and its Z-isomer in or on melon subgroup 9A; sorghum, grain, grain; sorghum, grain, forage; and sorghum, grain, stover. Objections and requests for hearings must be received by December 1, 2014.

Relevant MRL changes will be made to MRL Database.

March 1, 2013

On February 27, 2013, the US EPA published a notice of applications received for new and revised MRLs. Pesticide petitions have been submitted for: acetamiprid, clomazone, flonicamid, fluoxastrobin, mandipropamid, pendimethalin, propiconazole, and saflufenacil. Comments must be received on or before March 29, 2013.
