On May 19, Mexico’s Federal Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS) published an amendment to Annex X of its food additive regulations regarding processing aids. The amendment is available in Spanish and is effective from May 19, 2017.

On May 16, Switzerland notified the WTO of new food additive legislation. The new Swiss legislation can be found on the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO) website. All regulations enter into force May 1, 2017.

These changes were originally proposed in December 2016. These changes will take effect on June 11, 2017.
