On July 7, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published Notification Circular 17-17, which announced the following food additive application approvals:
 
  •  Application A1125 seeking permission for the use of endo beta(1,4) xylanase as a processing aid (enzyme)
  • Application A1126 seeking permission for the use of pectins and carrageenan as processing aids in wine (fining agent)
  • Application A1135 seeking permission for the use of beta-galactosidase as a processing aid (enzyme)

FSANZ notified the Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulations of these approvals.
