On October 9, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments for melaleuca alternifolia, mineral oil, prothioconazole, prohexadione-calcium, thiophanate-methyl, thiamethoxam, trifloxystrobin, clethodim, dicamba, glufosinate, imazapyr, imazapic, aminopyralid, abscisic acid, and bixafen (links in Portuguese).

MRL changes from these amendments will be displayed in the Global MRL Databse on October 11, 2017.

On August 24, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for prothioconazole, trifloxystrobin, bixafen, dicamba, thiamethoxam, melaleuca alternifolia, glufosinate, mineral oil, clethodim, imazapyr, imazapic, aminopyralid, abscisic acid, prohexadione-calcium, and thiophanate-methyl (links in Portuguese).

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by September 22, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on August 25, 2017.

On April 11, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting albendazole, isouron, etoxazole, simeconazole, cymoxanil, spirotetramat, thifensulfuron-methyl, thifluzamide, tebufenozide, triflumizole, tolfenamic acid, pyriofenone, fluensulfone, fluopicolide, prothioconazole, prohydrojasmon, profenofos, bromacil, prometryn, hexaconazole, hexythiazox, benzovindiflupyr, and lepimectin.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database by April 20, 2017.

On March 3, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for the following active ingredients:

PMRA will accept comments on the proposed MRLs through May 17, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on March 7, 2017.

On September 23, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a proposal to amend numerous MRLs for pesticides and veterinary drugs. Comments on these proposals are due by October 7, 2016. Any proposals containing MRL decreases will likely be announced to the WTO in the coming months.

Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database by September 30, 2016.

On August 29, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of pesticide petitions to establish MRLs for several active ingredients.

Comments must be received by September 28, 2016. MRLs from this proposal will display in the Global MRL Database on August 30, 2016.

On January 27, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/71 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for 1-methylcyclopropene, flonicamid, flutriafol, indolylacetic acid, indolylbutyric acid, pethoxamid, pirimicarb, prothioconazole, and teflubenzuron in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect August 16, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database.

On January 22, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/67 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for ametoctradin, chlorothalonil, diphenylamine, flonicamid, fluazinam, fluoxastrobin, halauxifen-methyl, propamocarb, prothioconazole, thiacloprid, and trifloxystrobin in or on certain products.

Amended MRLs go into effect February 11, 2016, except for thiacloprid in Jerusalem artichokes and trifloxystrobin in olives for oil production which apply from February 12, 2016. Relevant pending MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database.
