On July 28, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) announced proposed MRL changes for cyanazine, flometoquin, mandipropamid, dinotefuran, gamithromycin, and tiamulin. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service. 

Comments are due to the Embassy by August 14, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database over the next week.

On July 19, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting isofetamid, melengestrol acetate, famoxadone, fenazaquin, and metamifop.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database by July 28, 2017.

On July 18, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting imidacloprid; oxathiapiprolin; quinclorac; clofentezine; chlorpropham; spiramycin; tylosin; dazomet, metam and methyl isothiocyanate; picarbutrazox; fluopyram; fludioxonil; prohexadione-calcium; and mandestrobin.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database by July 28, 2017.

On June 30, Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety published Notice No. 2017-57, revising and establishing MRLs for numerous active ingredients (link in Korean).

MRL revisions from this amendment are in effect. MRL changes will be added to the Global MRL Database by July 6, 2017.

On May 25, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published Amendment No. 170 establishing MRLs for avilamycin in specific pig commodities. These MRLs were previously proposed via Application A1133

Established veterinary drug MRLs appear in the veterinary drug section of the Global MRL Database. Please note that we are currently upgrading this section of the Global MRL Database to improve both its design and scope of veterinary drug MRLs. Once this upgrade is completed, users will also be able to subscribe to additional data and features not currently available.

On March 23, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published its approval report for Application A1133 – Maximum Residue Limits for Avilamycin in specific Pig Commodities.

The Application is for the establishment of MRLs for avilamycin in specific pig commodities for purposes of import harmonization. FSANZ has provided further details on the risk assessment in Supporting document 1.

The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation (the Forum) has been notified of FSANZ's decision and, if the Forum does not issue a request for review, the MRLs will go into effect upon gazettal.

On February 15, Health Canada published its updated List of MRLs for Veterinary Drugs in Foods, incorporating MRLs originally proposed in June 2016.

Please note that we are currently upgrading this section of the Global MRL Database to improve both its design and ease of use. Once this upgrade is completed, users will also be able to subscribe to additional data and features not currently available.

On February 27, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) notified the WTO of proposed MRL changes for melengestrol acetate.

The final date for comments is April 28, 2017. Relevant MRLs will be added to the Global MRL Database after they are established.

On December 5, Taiwan notified the WTO of a draft Standards for Veterinary Drug Residue Limits in Foods, proposing amendments to MRLs for altrenogest, buserelin, dinoprost, etiproston, flumequine, oxibendazole, and oxytocin.

Comments are due by February 3, 2017.

Last week, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2016/2045 and Reg. (EU) 2016/2074 in the EU Official Journal, establishing MRLs for gamithromycin and aluminium salicylate, basic.
