These changes are reviewed and notified to clients when problematic. This system allows clients to avoid potential export issues.

BCI notified the California almond industry of a regulatory change for one of their priority crop protection products in Japan. Steps were taken to maintain the MRL.

BCI Monitor

The BCI Monitor offers a customized weekly update of international trade issues that might affect exports.  Working with clients, each Monitor is tailored to track priority markets and regulatory issues of concern. BCI then reviews over one hundred sources for developments associated with those issues.

Advocacy

When issues are identified that might affect exports, BCI can draft comments on behalf of clients for US and foreign governments to help prevent and/or correct trade issues of concern.

BCI discovered and informed a client of potentially problematic changes to Korea's biotechnology labeling requirements.  BCI analyzed the issue and drafted comments on their behalf seeking clarification and putting forward their position.
