Recently, Saudi Arabia's Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) published a circular (in Arabic) banning the use of titanium dioxide. The circular is effective from October 22, 2022.

On May 10, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India published a direction regarding their regulations on health supplements, nutraceuticals, food for special dietary use, food for special medical purpose and prebiotic and probiotic foods.

On May 5, the U.S. FDA announced the withdrawal of a food additive petition that proposes to modify food additive regulations concerning mycoprotein. The withdrawal was notified to the WTO on May 9.
