On December 5, New Zealand's Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) published Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds, which is a consolidated MRL standard that includes amendments proposed in September 2018.

The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on December 6, 2018.

The U.S. EPA recently established tolerances for residues of oxytetracyclinebixafen, clomazone, bifenthrin, and dinotefuran in or on various commodities.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by February 4, 2019. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on December 6, 2018.

On December 4, the Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 24 - 4 December 2018. Pages 24-28 of the gazette list draft MRLs and page 33-34 lists amendments to MRLs for pesticides in or on various commodities.

Comments on the draft MRLs must be submitted to the APVMA by January 9, 2019. Relevant proposed and amended MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on December 6, 2018.

On November 21, Argentina’s Directorate of Domestic Trade Policies and Competition published an amendment to the standard for infant foods. The standard includes food additive information. It is effective as of November 22, 2018. There is a grace period for compliance until November 22, 2019.

On December 3, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for bifenthrin, fenhexamid, afidopyropen, and picoxystrobin.

Individual changes can be viewed in the linked WTO notices. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on December 4, 2018.

On November 29, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for clomazone, fenamidone, and spiromesifen in or on various commodities.

PMRA will accept comments on the proposed MRLs through February 12, 2019. The proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on November 30, 2018.

On November 29, Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) published Notice No. 2018-98 (link in Korean) revising their food regulations, including numerous MRL changes.

MRL changes from this amendment will appear in the Global MRL Database next week.
