The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) recently published a reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing MRLs for fludioxonil. Additionally, EFSA published reasoned opinions on the review of the existing MRLs for spinetoram, terbuthylazine, and fenazaquin according to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005.

Proposed MRLs from these reasoned opinions will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on February 4, 2020.

Recently, Mexico’s Federal Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS) published an amendment to Annex I of its food additive regulations. It is effective from November 19, 2019.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) recently announced proposed MRL changes for several active ingredients. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service.

Relevant proposed MRLs will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on February 4, 2020.

On January 24, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration published a final rule revoking all tolerances for residues of piperazine. MRL changes from this amendment are effective February 3, 2020.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) recently published a reasoned opinion on the evaluation of confirmatory data following the Article 12 MRL review and modification of existing MRLs for abamectin in various commodities. In addition, EFSA published a reasoned opinion on the review of existing MRLs for spirotetramat according to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005.

Proposed MRLs from these reasoned opinions will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on January 30, 2020.
