On December 12, New Zealand's Ministry for Primary Industries published Proposals to amend the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds) Food Notice - December 2019. The proposal includes draft pesticide and veterinary drug MRLs.

Comments on these proposed MRLs must be received by February 11, 2020. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide and Vet Drug MRL Databases by December 24, 2019.

On December 23, the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service published Food and Agricultural Regulations and Standards (FAIRS) reports for Nigeria, Nicaragua, and Haiti

On December 20, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published the following Application A1181 – Maximum residue limits for Imazapyr in Barley Grain documents:

The Australia and New Zealand Ministerial Forum on Food Regulation (the Forum) has been notified of FSANZ's decision and, if the Forum does not issue a request for review, the MRLs will go into effect upon gazettal. The proposed MRL is available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database.

On December 19, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for chlorfenapyr, clopyralid, malathion, and prometryn in or on various commodities. 

Comments are due by March 3, 2020. Proposed MRLs will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on December 24, 2019.

On December 20, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published approval reports for Application A1171 regarding endo-inulinase from Aspergillus oryzae and Application A1176 regarding the enzymatic production of steviol glycosides.
