On March 8, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) published a corrigendum to an existing MRL proposal to correct both terminology and the MRL amount.

The corrected proposal will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on March 9, 2021.

On March 8, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments to the monographs for teflubenzuron, deltamethrin, methomyl, bixafen, aminopyralid, phosphine, diflubenzuron, clothianidin, and thiophanate-methyl (links in Portuguese).

Relevant MRLs from these amendments will be added to the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database by March 9, 2021.

Recently, the European Union made available proposals to amend its food additive regulations related to the use of polyols in certain energy-reduced confectionery products and steviol glycosides and rebaudioside M produced via enzyme modification of steviol glycosides from Stevia

Recently, the Eurasian Economic Union posted a draft amendment to TR CU 021/2011, proposing veterinary drug MRLs for a variety of substances. 

Comments on this proposal are due by April 6, 2021. Bryant Christie is in the process of translating and analyzing this regulation for entry into the BCGlobal Vet Drug MRL Database. Relevant MRLs will be added to the database in the coming weeks.

Recently, Russia's Chief State Sanitary Doctor approved SanPiN 2.1.3685-21 establishing a new consolidated list of pesticide MRLs. 

This regulation is effective on March 1, 2021. Bryant Christie is in the process of translating and analyzing this regulation for entry into the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database. Relevant MRLs will be added to the database in the coming weeks.

On February 26, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing maximum residue level for phenmedipham in strawberries. 

Proposed MRLs from this reasoned opinion will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on March 2, 2021.
