On October 11, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the review of the existing MRLs for penflufen and a conclusion on the peer review of pydiflumetofen.

The proposed MRLs from these EFSA documents will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on October 15, 2019.

On October 11, Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety published an amendment, in Korean, to the Korean Food Additives Code.

On October 9, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) published a Call for Submissions for Application A1181 concerning the proposed amendment of the current Schedule 20 MRL for imazapyr in barley. A Risk Assessment was also published. 

Comments are due by October 24, 2019. The proposed MRL is currently available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database.

On October 4, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments to the monographs for clodinafop-propargyl, carbendazim, flutriafol, saflufenacil, trinexapac-ethyl, citrus sinensis essential oil, clethodim, imazethapyr, flumioxazin, Telonomus podisi, Hirsutella thompsonii, Bacillus amyloliquefaciensacibenzolar-S-methyl and fluazinam (links in Portuguese).

Updated MRLs from these amendments will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on October 10, 2019.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) recently announced proposed MRL changes for difenoconazole, sethoxydim, bifenthrin, buprofezin, flonicamid, and diazinon. These changes were reported via the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service.
