On May 7, the Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published APVMA Gazette No. 9, 7 May 2019. Pages 22-24 of the gazette list amended MRLs for pesticides in or on various commodities.

On May 3, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed to revoke all currently established MRLs for ferbam, ziram, and thiram.

Comments on proposed revocations must be received by July 17, 2019. The proposed revocations will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database later this week.

On April 26, Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) published Notice No. 2019-31 (link in Korean) revising their food regulations, including numerous MRL changes.

MRL changes from this amendment will be entered in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database by May 3, 2019.

On April 25, Taiwan's Ministry of Health and Welfare notified the WTO of a draft standards for pesticide residue limits in foods, proposing MRLs for multiple active ingredients on various commodities. 

Comments must be submitted by June 24, 2019. Relevant proposed MRLs can be viewed in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database.

On April 23, Europe's Committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use (CVMP) published an adopted opinion recommending that no MRL is required for bambermycin in rabbit.

Based on the CVMP opinion, the European Commission will adopt a legally binding Regulation establishing the MRLs for the substance. Applicants may request re-examination of any CVMP opinion within 15 days of its publication.

The proposed exemption from an MRL from the summary opinion will display in the BCGloabl Veterinary Drug MRL Database on April 24, 2019.
