January 23, 2019

On January 21, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published reasoned opinions on the modification of existing MRLs for tetraconazole, trifloxystrobin, aclinofen, and aminopyralid.

Proposed MRLs from these reasoned opinions will display in the Global MRL Database on January 24, 2019.

August 24, 2017

On August 24, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for prothioconazole, trifloxystrobin, bixafen, dicamba, thiamethoxam, melaleuca alternifolia, glufosinate, mineral oil, clethodim, imazapyr, imazapic, aminopyralid, abscisic acid, prohexadione-calcium, and thiophanate-methyl (links in Portuguese).

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by September 22, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on August 25, 2017.

September 21, 2016

Denmark’s Høringsportalen posted draft MRL amendments under consideration by the European Union's Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed. These include:

  • SANTE/11309/2016: aminopyralid, azoxystrobin, cyantraniliprole, cyflufenamid, cyproconazole, diethofencarb, dithiocarbamates, fluazifop-P, fluopyram, haloxyfop, isofetamid, metalaxyl, prohexadione, propaquizafop, pyrimethanil, Trichoderma atroviride strain SC1, and zoxamide
  • SANTE/11418/2015: bifenthrin, carbetamide, cinidon-ethyl, fenpropimorph, and triflusulfuron

Relevant proposed MRLs will begin to appear in the Global MRL Database starting September 21, 2016.

June 14, 2016

On June 13, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing maximum residue level for aminopyralid in maize.

Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

November 11, 2015

Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) recently published amendments for the following active ingredients (links in Portuguese):

Relevant MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database.

August 15, 2014

On August 15, the European Union published regulations No 890/2014 and No 891/2014, approving the active substances aminopyralid and metobromuron for the inclusion into Annexes I & II.

These regulations enter into force on September 4, 2014, and they shall apply from January 1, 2015. 

January 22, 2014

On January 21, the European Union published MRL amendments Commission Regulation (EU) No 36/2014 and Commission Regulation (EU) No 51/2014 in the EU Official Journal. These regulations revise MRLs for aminopyralid, chlorantraniliprole, cyflufenamid, mepiquat, metalaxyl-M, propamocarb, pyriofenone, quinoxyfen, dimethomorph, indoxacarb, and pyraclostrobin.

MRL revisions were made to address new and changed uses. Commission Regulation (EU) No 36/2014 will enter into force 20 days after the date of publication. Commission Regulation (EU) No 51/2014 will enter into force on February 2, 2014.

Relevant changes will appear in after these regulations are in effect.

On June 19, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published Modification of the existing MRLs for aminopyralid in commodities of animal origin.

June 6, 2013

On June 5, 2013, the US EPA published a notice of applications received for new and revised MRLs. Pesticide petitions have been submitted for: flutriafol, benzovindiflupyr, flonicamid, metaflumizone, fenamidone, fomesafen, flupyradifurone, aminopyralid, difenoconazole, chlorantraniliprole, isofetamid, thiabendazole, saflufenacil, and mesotrione. Comments must be received on or before July 5, 2013.
