August 26, 2016

On August 26, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the setting of MRLs for amitraz, coumaphos, flumequine, oxytetracycline, permethrin, and streptomycin in certain products of animal origin.

Proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on August 27, 2016.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently published proposed tolerance actions, including the revocation and modification of specific MRLs, for numerous active ingredients. Concerned parties must submit comments by September 9, 2014. 

June 25, 2014

Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) recently established and revised tolerances for pyraclostrobin, sulfuryl fluoride, and carbofuran. Changes can be found in Korea's MRL database (link in Korean).

June 18, 2014

Effective June 16, Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) established an MRL for Amitraz on honey. The change may be viewed in the WTO notice linked above, and a complete list of Canadian MRLs may be found in PMRA's MRL Database

March 26, 2013

On March 20, 2013, the US EPA published a final rule, 78 FR 17123, in the US Federal Register amending the MRL regulation for the active ingredient amitraz. New MRLs are established for honey and honeycomb commodities, and the residue definition has been revised for several existing MRLs.
