September 20, 2017

On September 20, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of the existing MRL for bifenazate in soya bean.

Relevant proposed MRLs from this reasoned opinion will display in the Global MRL Database on September 21, 2017.

January 31, 2017

On January 31, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a report on the peer review of the pesticide risk assessment for the active substance bifenazate.

The European Union's current bifenazate MRLs display in the Global MRL Database.

March 9, 2016

On March 7, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) opened a public consultation on the active substance bifenazate. Comments on the rapporteur Member State's assessment reports must be sent to EFSA by May 7, 2016.

The European Union's bifenazate MRLs currently display in the Global MRL Database.

May 19, 2015

On May 19, the Australia Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 10 – 19 May 2015. Pages 30-32 of the gazette list proposed amendments to MRLs for pesticides on various commodities.

Comments must be submitted to APVMA by June 16, 2015, and relevant proposed MRLs will be added to Global MRL Database.

November 7, 2014

Taiwan's Ministry of Health recently notified the WTO of a Draft of Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods, containing MRLs for 21 pesticides.

Comments must be submitted by January 6, 2015. 

September 25, 2014

On September 25, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for the following pesticides:

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notices, and relevant changes will be made to the MRL Database.

August 6, 2014

On August 6, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency established tolerances for residues of bifenazate in or on multiple commodities. This regulation also removed a few existing tolerances, including time-limited tolerances superseded by this action.

Objections concerning this regulation must be received by October 6, 2014.

June 17, 2014

On June 17, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Gazette No. 12 - 17 June 2014. Pages 30-33 of the gazette outline established MRLs for several pesticides on various commodities, amending Australia's Standard 1.4.2.

June 9, 2014

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently proposed MRLs for bifenazate and metconazole on various commodities. PMRA will accept comments on the suggested MRLs for bifenazate until August 18, 2014, while the deadline for comments on metconazole is August 20, 2014. 

March 26, 2014

On March 24, the European Union published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 289/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation revises MRLs for foramsulfuron, azimsulfuron, iodosulfuron, oxasulfuron, mesosulfuron, flazasulfuron, imazosulfuron, propamocarb, bifenazate, chlorpropham and thiobencarb.

MRL revisions were made to address new and changed uses. This amendment will enter into force April 11, 2014, and the MRLs will be in effect as of October 11, 2014.

Relevant changes will appear in after the regulation is in effect.
