On August 24, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published draft amendments proposing changes for prothioconazole, trifloxystrobin, bixafen, dicamba, thiamethoxam, melaleuca alternifolia, glufosinate, mineral oil, clethodim, imazapyr, imazapic, aminopyralid, abscisic acid, prohexadione-calcium, and thiophanate-methyl (links in Portuguese).

Comments on these proposals must be submitted by September 22, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on August 25, 2017.

On December 8, the U.S. EPA established tolerances for residues of dicamba in or on cotton, gin byproducts; cotton, undelinted seed; soybean, forage; and soybean, hay.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by February 6, 2017. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on December 9, 2016.

On April 1, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a technical report on the consultation with Member States, the applicant, and EFSA on the pesticide risk assessment for dicamba in light of confirmatory data.

The European Union's dicamba MRLs currently display in the Global MRL Database.

On June 4, the European Union published Reg. (EU) 2015/845 in the EU Official Journal, amending MRLs for azoxystrobin, chlorantraniliprole, cyantraniliprole, dicamba, difenoconazole, fenpyroximate, fludioxonil, glufosinate-ammonium, imazapic, imazapyr, indoxacarb, isoxaflutole, mandipropamid, penthiopyrad, propiconazole, pyrimethanil, spirotetramat, and trinexapac in or on certain products.

MRLs go into effect on June 24, 2015, and relevant MRL changes will be added to Global MRL Database as pending.

The European Union recently published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 737/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation includes MRLs for 2-phenylphenol, chlormequat, cyflufenamid, cyfluthrin, dicamba, fluopicolide, flutriafol, fosetyl, indoxacarb, isoprothiolane, mandipropamid, metaldehyde, metconazole, phosmet, picloram, propyzamide, pyriproxyfen, saflufenacil, spinosad, and trifloxystrobin in or on certain products.

Further details, including MRL tables, may be found via the linked Official Journal document. MRLs in this regulation will apply starting July 30, 2014, and will appear in the MRL Database at that time.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) recently notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of proposed MRL changes for famoxadone, flufenacet, propargite, pyrimidifen, danofloxacin, and dicamba.

MHLW will accept comments on these proposed changes through July 14.
