November 12, 2021

On November 8, the Eurasian Economic Union proposed an amendment to the Uniform Sanitary and Epidemiological and Hygienic Requirements for Products (Commodities) Subject to Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision (Control) regarding MRLs for glyphosate. 

The proposed MRLs are currently available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database.

October 13, 2021

This week, the Eurasian Economic Union proposed amendments to the Eurasian Economic Commission Collegium Draft Decision on amendments to the Section 1 of the Chapter II of the Common sanitary-epidemiological and hygienic requirements for products subject to sanitary-epidemiological supervision (control)

Relevant proposed MRLs will be available in the BCGlobal Vet Drug MRL Database by October 15, 2021.

March 4, 2021

Recently, the Eurasian Economic Union posted a draft amendment to TR CU 021/2011, proposing veterinary drug MRLs for a variety of substances. 

Comments on this proposal are due by April 6, 2021. Bryant Christie is in the process of translating and analyzing this regulation for entry into the BCGlobal Vet Drug MRL Database. Relevant MRLs will be added to the database in the coming weeks.

On January 4, the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service published Food and Agricultural Regulations and Standards (FAIRS) reports for the following markets:

BCI's Food Additive Database includes maximum use level regulations for over 850 additives in more than 70 countries worldwide, including the Eurasian Economic Union. Please contact us for more information on subscribing.

 The Global MRL Database currently displays relevant established and proposed MRLs for Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, Kazakhstan, and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Recently, the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service published a Food and Agricultural Regulations and Standards (FAIRS) report for the Republic of Kazakhstan. This report contains information on food additive regulations.

The Eurasian Economic Union's food additive regulations are included in the International Food Additive Database. If you are interested in subscribing, please contact BCI.

This week, the United States Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agriculture Service published Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards (FAIRS) Country Reports for the following countries:

Information on food additive regulations are included.

BCI's International Food Additive Database includes food additive use regulations for over 800 additives and 60 markets, including Kazakhstan (Eurasian Economic Union) and the European Union. Please contact us for information on subscribing.

December 10, 2015

The Eurasian Economic Commission recently adopted Decision No. 149 “On Amendments to the Decision of the Customs Union Commission No. 299 of May 28, 2010” (in Russian). The amendments to Decision No. 299 concern the following:

  • Requirements for pesticides and agrochemicals
  • Pesticide MRLs
  • Methodologies for the detection of residues of pesticides in food

Further details on amendments are also available in a GAIN Report published by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service. Decision No. 149 is the adopted version of a draft amendment published in 2012 and has an effective date of December 16, 2015. Relevant MRL changes will be added to the Global MRL Database.
