May 26, 2017

On May 24, Denmark's Høringsportalen posted draft MRL amendments under consideration by the European Union's Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed. These include:

  • SANTE/10656/2016 Rev. 1Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain FZB24, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain MBI 600, Beauveria bassiana strain NPP111B005, Beauveria bassiana strain 147, clayed charcoal, cyclaniliprole, dichlorprop, ethephon, etridiazole, flonicamid, fluazifop-P, hydrogen peroxide, metaldehyde, penconazole, spinetoram, tau-fluvalinate and Urtica spp.
  • SANTE/11706/2016 Rev. 2: fenpropidin and pymetrozine

 Relevant proposed MRLs have been added to the Global MRL Database.

March 29, 2017

This week, the European Union notified the WTO of proposed MRLs for fenpropidin, pymetrozine, and mercury compounds.

The final date for comments is May 27, 2017 (fenpropidin and pymetrozine) and May 28, 2017 (mercury compounds). Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database by March 30, 2017.

May 12, 2014

On April 30, Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) established MRLs for fenpropidin and sethoxydim.

Adopted changes may be viewed in the WTO notices linked above, and a complete list of MRLs can be found in PMRA's MRL Database.

Relevant changes will appear in tomorrow.

On February 11, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established MRLs for the active ingredient fenpropidin.  Objections and requests for hearings must be received on or before April 14, 2014.

On January 31, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) published the following:

PMRA will accept comments on these consultations through April 15, 2014.

January 27, 2014

On January 24, the European Union published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 61/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation revises MRLs for cyromazine, fenpropidin, formetanate, oxamyl and tebuconazole.

MRL revisions were made to address new and changed uses. This amendment will enter into force February 13, 2014, and most MRLs will be in effect as of August 14, 2014.

Relevant changes will appear in after the regulation is in effect.
