On December 12, the European Union notified the WTO of the following MRL proposal:

  • G/SPS/N/EU/360: Draft Commission Regulation (EU) amending Annexes II and V to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl in or on certain products.

The proposed MRLs from this WTO notification will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on December 13, 2019.

On December 12, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for clopyralid and dimethomorph in or on various commodities. 

Comments are due by February 25, 2020. Proposed MRLs will be available in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on December 13, 2019.

On December 8, Israel’s Ministry of Health published a food additive amendment for sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (E 466). The amendment is effective December 27, 2019.

On December 9, Brazil's National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) published amendments to the monographs for trifluralin, epoxiconazole, fenpropathrin, kinetin, indolylbutyric acid, and ethiprole (links in Portuguese). 

Updated MRLs from these amendments will display in the BCGlobal Pesticide MRL Database on December 10, 2019.
