On November 23, Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) proposed MRLs for the active ingredient formetanate hydrochloride.

PMRA will accept comments on the proposed MRLs through February 6, 2017. Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database on November 24, 2016.

On August 6, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) published an amendment (in Japanese) to their national MRL standard. The amendment includes MRL changes for benthiavalicarb-isopropyl, ethaboxam, flonicamid, formetanate hydrochloride, ipfencarbazone, novaluron, pyrimethanil, and simeconazole.

MRLs that are newly-added or revised to a less restrictive level have entered into force. For MRLs changing to a more restrictive level, Japan is implementing a six month grace period. These changes will go into effect in February 2014.

Relevant changes will appear in tomorrow.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) recently proposed MRL changes, as notified by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) in report JA3003. Proposed changes include MRL decreases and deletions for active ingredient formetanate hydrochloride.
