On February 2, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published technical reports on the outcome of consultations with Member States, applicants, and EFSA on the pesticide risk assessments for tri-allate and malathion in light of confirmatory data.

September 10, 2014

On September 10, the U.S. EPA announced the reinstatement of streamside no-spray buffer zones to protect endangered or threatened Pacific salmon and steelhead in California, Oregon, and Washington.

This stipulated injunction was issued on August 15, 2014, and the no-spray buffer zones will apply to the pesticides carbaryl, chlorpyrifos, diazinon, malathion, and methomyl.

August 8, 2014

Taiwan's Ministry of Health recently notified the WTO of the adoption of amendments to its Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods, fully adopting numerous MRLs on 17 active ingredients previously published as draft amendments. 

July 14, 2014

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently published proposed tolerance actions, including the revocation and modification of specific MRLs, for numerous active ingredients. Concerned parties must submit comments by September 9, 2014. 

May 22, 2014

Taiwan's Ministy of Heath and Welfare has notified the WTO of a draft MRL amendment, containing MRLs for 17 active ingredients. Comments must be submitted by July 21, 2014.

February 21, 2014

On February 21, 2014, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published Modification of existing MRLs for malathion in various crops.
