August 10, 2018

On August 10, the U.S. EPA established tolerances for residues of picoxystrobin in or on various commodities.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by October 9, 2018. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on August 11, 2018.

July 20, 2018

On July 19, the European Union notified the WTO of SANTE 10151-2018, proposing draft MRLs for buprofezin, diflubenzuron, ethoxysulfuron, ioxynil, molinate, picoxystrobin, and tepraloxydim in or on certain products.

Relevant proposed MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on July 21, 2018.

June 22, 2016

This week, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published the following documents regarding active ingredients and MRLs:

  • Technical Report on the outcome of the consultation with Member States and EFSA on the basic substance application for Satureja montana L. for use in plant protection as fungicide and bactericide on various crops
  • Technical report on the outcome of the consultation with Member States, the applicant, and EFSA on the pesticide risk assessment for potassium phosphonates in light of confirmatory data
  • Conclusion on the peer review of the pesticide risk assessment of the active substance picoxystrobin

Relevant proposed MRLs will display in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

On June 7, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare published a new MRL amendment affecting amisulbrom, 4-aminopyridine, isoxaflutole, chlorobenzilate, dinoseb, thiamethoxam, thifensulfuron, tulathromycin, sodium TCA, picoxystrobin, pyroquilon, phenmedipham, and benzofenap.

Relevant MRL changes will appear in the Global MRL Database tomorrow.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) recently opened a public consultation on the active substance picoxystrobin. Comments on rapporteur Member State Czech Republic's assessment reports must be sent to EFSA by October 2, 2015.

June 2, 2015

Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently notified the WTO of adopted MRLs for the following active ingredients:

Individual changes may be viewed in the linked WTO notices, and relevant MRL changes will be made to Global MRL Database.

May 28, 2014

On May 28, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published a reasoned opinion on the modification of an existing MRL for picoxystrobin in sugar beet. 

February 5, 2014

On February 5, the European Union published MRL amendment Commission Regulation (EU) No 87/2014 in the EU Official Journal. This regulation revises MRLs for acetamiprid, butralin, chlorotoluron, daminozide, isoproturon, picoxystrobin, pyrimethanil and trinexapac.

MRL revisions were made to address new and changed uses. This amendment will enter into force February 25, 2014, and the MRLs will be in effect as of August 25, 2014.

Relevant changes will appear in after the regulation is in effect.

February 19, 2013

Effective February 12, 2013, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) established MRLs for the active ingredient picoxystrobin. Changes correspond with those proposed in PMRL2012-43.
