February 7, 2017

On February 7, the U.S. EPA established tolerances for residues of 2,4-D in or on cotton, gin byproducts and amended the existing tolerance on cotton, undelinted seed. Additionally, tolerances for residues of propamocarb hydrochloride were established in or on potato.

Objections and requests for hearings must be received by April 10, 2017. The amended MRLs will be available in the Global MRL Database on February 8, 2017.

October 31, 2016

On October 27, the U.S. EPA announced the receipt of pesticide petitions to establish MRLs for 2,4-D and propamocarb hydrochloride.

Comments must be received by November 28, 2016. MRLs from this proposal will display in the Global MRL Database on November 1, 2016.

November 7, 2014

Taiwan's Ministry of Health recently notified the WTO of a Draft of Standards for Pesticide Residue Limits in Foods, containing MRLs for 21 pesticides.

Comments must be submitted by January 6, 2015. 

November 15, 2013

On November 15, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) announced to the WTO their acceptance of proposed MRLs for prosulfuron, flumioxazin, trifloxystrobin, meptyldinocap, rimsulfuron, propamocarb hydrochloride, and tebuconazole.

An updated list of Canadian MRLs can be accessed in their online database. Relevant changes will appear in tomorrow.

August 14, 2013

On August 13, Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) opened several draft MRL documents for public consultation.

For each of the active ingredients listed above, Canada will accept comments on proposed changes through October 27.
